Updates from the FAC

The Federal Audit Clearinghouse is transitioning from the U.S. Census Bureau (Census) to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) on October 1, 2023. At that time, you'll be able to submit all single audits using our new system.

We'll share more updates as they're available, including new features and timelines, below.

General updates

• Single audit data for fiscal years prior to 2023 is available via the FAC API.

  • Single audit data for fiscal year 2023 will be available via search in mid-October.

• For the time being, search and download of historical audit data will remain on the Census' site.

For grantees and auditors

• We are currently only accepting single audit submissions for the 2023 audit year. Late audit submissions for prior years will be accepted beginning November 1, 2023.

• Join the Grants Community Listserv for Non-Federal stakeholders to receive FAC announcements and other Federal grants updates. To subscribe to the Non-Federal grants community listserv, email grantsfed@listserv.gsa.gov with the subject line "Subscribe".

• At this time, the FAC is not accepting submissions for Indian tribes or tribal organizations or for Alternative Compliance Examination Engagements (ACEE). The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has granted an automatic extension for these entities for Audit Year 2023.

For Federal awarding agencies
